The Sniper was on the phone to our friend last night and she said of me, "Oh, he's busy working on his throne". Can you believe our friend assumed it was a euphemism?? Of all things.
Truly, I was straining mightily on my throne. We will need one for about 10 minutes next week. So it seems like a lot of work for that length of time. But who can predict when you're gonna need a throne? What if someone dies and makes you emperor but you're short a throne? Tough luck there.
So in my mind, the throne I'm building will look like this

Or this
So it probably won't be as glorious as the throne in my headbrain but can we settle for something in between?

i have an oil lamp ready and waiting for you. it turned out larger than I thought....and the quality looks more like your last pic. But it will work....and we're doing it for the children afterall, right?! I'm sure your throne will be perfection

I think that first throne would be a good one for you, though have a pillow made. Gold can be hard on the butt if you sit there a long time
